Stock Primary School is a voluntarily controlled Church of England school which enjoys close links to the village C of E church, All Saints’.
Members of the church are invited to attend collective worships at the school which is led by Father Stephen. He also takes collective worship in school to share and increase the children’s awareness of the Christian word.
Some special services, including Christingle and the leavers service, are held for the children at All Saints. Members of the church are invited back to the school to see the pupils’ achievements and be entertained by whole school productions. The pupils are also invited to participate in the annual Flower Festival held at the Church.
The pupils regularly visit the church as part of their learning to find out about the history of the church and the features of an Anglican church. Father Stephen explains the meaning of the different artefacts, the Stations of the Cross and symbols in the church.
There is a very special relationship in Stock between our school and our church which benefits both.
