Getting to School
Walking To School
Most of the children walk to school and this is something we like to encourage in our aim to be a ‘healthy school’.
Driving to school
If you do drive to school we ask you to take particular care and to adhere to Stock’s speed limit.
Parking is available in the Village Hall Car Park, Common Road which is approximately a 5 minute walk to school. Please do not park in the school park due to limited space which is reserved for staff and Blue Badge Holders only.
Y5 / Y6 Parents and Carers
As a measure to ensure the safety of our children travelling to and from school we are now updating our details of independent travelers. If your child comes to school without an accompanying adult, you must complete the attached form and return it to the School Office as soon as possible. If an older school aged sibling is responsible for ensuring your child attends school you must still complete this form. Please ensure your child does not arrive before 8.35 a.m. as we are unable to supervise them before this time. Children go straight into their classrooms from 8:35 am where their teacher is ready for them. Members of staff are in the playground until 8:45am.
If your child is not attending (due to illness for example) please contact the school before 9.a.m. to advise us of this. Failure to do so will result in the school contacting you at home and at work to verify the whereabouts of your child. If we are unable to contact you, we will refer the matter to the local police. This is to ensure the safety of your child.
We would remind all parents/carers to make sure that you watch your child until he or she enters the school building at 8.35.a.m. In the interests of security, the school gates will be locked at 8:45 am and 3:30 pm.
