School Dinners

School dinners are cooked on the premises with fresh ingredients, which are sourced locally. The child friendly menus are rotated on a three weekly basis.

We encourage healthy eating and are a NUT AWARE school.

For children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6) dinners cost £2.80 per day. We would ask that your child’s meals for the week are paid in advance through your Scopay account.

From 1st September 2026, your child will qualify for free school meals if you are in receipt of Universal Credit, regardless of household income.

Your child may also be eligible for free school meals if you are in receipt of any of the following benefits:

  • income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • the guaranteed element of Pension Credit

Please visit https://pps.lgfl.org.uk/ where you can enter your details and obtain a certificate of eligibility.  You will need to create an account (Select Essex as the Local Authority and use the dropdown menu to find Stock C of E Primary School CM4 9BQ).  Alternatively, please complete this form and email to admin@stock.essex.sch.uk.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 automatically get free school meals. This is called Universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) and you do not need to apply for it.  However, if you are a low-income family (in receipt of any of the above benefits), please let us know, as we may be eligible to apply for more funding to support the provision of education for children in the school.
