Our School

Welcome to Stock C of E Primary School

It is a true privilege to serve as Head Teacher at Stock C of E Primary School.

Our vision, “Let their light shine,” is at the heart of all we do. As a Church school, we believe that by nurturing this vision daily, we enable every child to flourish, grow in confidence, and fulfil their God-given potential.

We provide a vibrant, purposeful environment that engages and excites, helping every pupil discover and develop their unique gifts. Surrounded by natural beauty and places of interest, we enrich learning through exploration and real-world experiences.

Our dedicated staff are passionate about teaching and learning, offering an inspiring, broad, and balanced curriculum. While our children consistently achieve outcomes above local and national levels, we value far more than statistics. We celebrate the whole child—their wellbeing, character, and joy in learning. This was recognised in our SIAMS inspection (October 2024), which praised our culture of care, inclusivity, and trust. The inspector noted how our vision is lived out daily: pupils feel safe, loved, and empowered to shine; staff are supported to grow; families experience compassion and a true sense of belonging.

Traditions and special events also enrich our school life, fostering community spirit and deepening our close ties with the Parish Church and local community.

We warmly invite you to explore our website, visit us in person, and see first-hand the warmth, joy, and light that make Stock such a special place.

Mr Gareth Roberts – Headteacher

This year my child is happier at school and feels better challenged than they have been previously. The teacher treats them as an individual and the feedback received feels individually tailored - thank you. I like the new way of working for English also. It's great to see the introduction of a range of clubs including chess and languages. It's also great to see reading gladiators back on for the mid years. It feels like the school is moving in a very positive upwards direction.

As a School, I can't fault it. The new Head has made an impressive impact and it's it's growing better and better.

I believe my child is thriving under Mrs Ellis and Mrs Nash the support staff. She is loving learning and would hate to miss a day as each day she has a lovely time at Stock School. Mrs Ellis engages the children in an exciting and unique way. The support staff are more than just this within the school - my daughter knows she can turn to anyone for advice and help. Her confidence and progress has developed so much within year 3 and I am over the moon with the way my daughter enjoys learning everyday at Stock.

My experience has been very positive since my daughter joined in reception. I am very impressed with communication and dates for events such as sports day, always being scheduled well in advance to help parents manage their time. My daughter is very happy and the school has a lovely community feel.
