Rotakids & School Council

Rotakids pledge:
"As a RotaKid, I endeavour to be fair to all, to serve my community, and to show respect for others."

The Stock Rotakids Club which also serves as our School Council aims at fostering leadership, community service, and personal growth among our students. Affiliated with Rotary International, our club provides a platform for children to engage in meaningful projects that benefit both our school, local and global communities.

Key Features of the Stock Rotakids Club:
  • Community Service: Members participate in various service projects, ranging from school improvement projects to fundraising activities for global causes. This helps pupils learn the importance of giving back and making a positive impact.

  • Leadership Development: Our children develop essential leadership skills. They are encouraged to take initiative, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively, preparing them for future challenges.

  • Friendship and Teamwork: The club promotes a spirit of friendship and teamwork. Pupils build lasting relationships with their peers across the school, while working together on projects, enhancing their social skills and sense of belonging.

  • Global Awareness: The Stock Rotakids Club emphasises the importance of global citizenship. Members learn about international issues and engage in projects that address these challenges, broadening their perspectives and understanding of the world.

  • Fun and Engaging Activities: The club organises regular meetings, events, and activities that are both educational and enjoyable. From guest speakers to fun outings, there’s always something exciting happening. Examples in 2025/26 included a visit to The Houses of Parliament and a special visit from our local MP, Sir John Whittingdale.

Pupils are election into their leadership positions following hustings in class and a democratic election. We welcomed in Peter Greene & Keith Wood - Youth Officers and Nick Street - President of Bilericay Rotary Club to present our 26/27 Rotakids members with their badges on 3/7/26.
