ProStrike Fundraiser

On Friday the children participated in the ProStrike Football Fundraising Event.

Every child had the opportunity to take part in the ProStrike Speed Challenge – a fun football-themed event where pupils test their strike speed against the inflatable ProStrike goal.

Donations are quick and simple through a secure online page. All you need to do is visit www.prostrikeevents.co.uk/pay-online and search our school name.

Fundraising is optional, but every pound raised really helps our school.

The online fundraising page will close at midnight on Sunday.

Year 6 Residential Trip - Norfolk Lakes

On 15th May, Year 6 set off for their well-earned residential trip to Norfolk Lakes, accompanied by Mr Roberts, Mrs Blaber and Mrs Rouse. We all enjoyed a fully packed weekend of adventurous activities, including kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, high ropes and everybody's favourite - caving. One highlight for us all was the campfire on Sunday evening where we sang songs, played games and toasted marshmallows. The children's behaviour was exemplary; they threw themselves into all the activities, faced and overcame fears - whether it was climbing to the top of the high ropes or the climbing wall, going out on the lake or being away from home for 3 nights, and have made memories that will last a life time.

Visit from MP John Whittingdale OBE

This morning, we were delighted to welcome our local Member of Parliament, Sir John Whittingdale to the school. During his visit, Sir John spent time meeting a number of our children, including pupils from Years 5 and 6 and members of the School Council. The children took the opportunity to ask him thoughtful questions about his role as an MP and how he represents the local community.

Mr Roberts also raised the important issue of road safety in the area, asking what action is being taken and what more could be done to reduce the speed limit from 30mph to 20mph in order to help ensure the safety of our children and the wider community. We would like to thank Sir John Whittingdale for taking the time to visit our school and engage so positively with our pupils and staff.
